Urban farming is an increasingly important part of sustaining our future and taking control of what and how we eat. It is getting more and more difficult, especially in urban environments to obtain real fresh organic food.
To motivate ourselves to carry through with this, it would be interesting to take part in the ongoing experiment about how and what specific music can help your plants grow. Maybe a new kind of music will be discovered and developed that directly links to the growth of urban gardens.
Peaches asks: What sounds will you create or play to help your urban farm grow?
Adrià Cañameras answers: Honestly I don’t know what sound a farm or an urban farm needs to grow, and it’s quite hard to visualize its energy. My family lives on a farm and they have shown me, that the most important thing for a growing farm is its soil. To get the soil rich and fertile it needs compost. In our home in France in the summer the whole family is working together; we always separate the left overs to add to our compost heap. Compost is the basic reason for a growing farm.
