Gordon Wagener took over the management of the globally active Design division of Mercedes-Benz in mid-2008. Before that, he was the Director of Strategic Design and Advanced Design at Mercedes-Benz Cars in California.
Gordon Wagener asks: In reference to urban mobility (and Megacities), how will design evolve in the upcoming two decades?
Markus Hofko answers: Urban mobility in the future should be transparent and fluid. It should become a matter of course, an integrated system. The design should step back from being overly ‘designed’ to being naturally embedded into our everyday lives. It shouldn’t be a pain to move inside a city.
